There's a lot of colour, movement and interest in this lovely, gravity formed bead. The colours range from very soft yellow to acid yellow, Dark red to terracotta and olive tones. I've finished it with ivory dots overlaid with terracotta then melted flat. A little twist here and there makes some of the dots swirl.
So why fishies wishes? I put it out at a bead fair and several people noticed it looked like a fish.
Measuring 45mmx27x6mm it has a medium size hole,
Wondering what to call this bead, I suddenly saw Digit Al from the TV advert - so there it is. A small focal bead 17mm x 25mm approx, it has a design of flat and raised dots. The photo's show it darker than it really is, it's not quite black but a very dark transparent grey over opaque turqoise. The base bead is white.
A pretty medium size focal in mid pink transparent glass. It was then wrapped with a trail of ink blue transparent and ruby, flattened dots were placed randomly along the trails.
I call this an off centre bicone shape, which starts at a slim 9mm at the top, flares out to 16mm and then back in to 10mm. It's 40 mm long.
Made on a 2.4mm mandrel.
A pretty bead which at first glance looks purple, but it's really a rainbow of colours. The base of silver glass has produced a range of colours - yellow, green and blues. This has been encased in clear and then covered with amethyst flowers. The centres are yellow/green dots left slightly raised.
A medium size focal at 34mm hole to hole x26mm x 8mm made on a 2.4mm mandrel.
A medium size focal with two matching spacer beads. The main bead is half opaque and half transparent pale blue glass, overlaid with frit in pastel blues and pinks and then lashed around with silver purple. The effect reminds me of a Jackson Pollack painting, with paint splashes and streaks. One spacer is in the opaque glass and one in the transparent pale blue, with frit over. The focal measures 31mm across and the spacers 13 - 14mm x 11mm hole to hole.
Focal made on a larger mandrel and the spacers on a small mandrel.
